So basically my wife and I bought these two products and we were excited to get our new hp's however, and sadly to say so the 4gb ram is useless. this laptop takes forever to do anything. I did some research and it was recommended that we upgrade the ram and drive, which should solve the problem. my question here is what are the recommended upgrades available for my devices? or are we doomed with 2 items on our hand that we basically can't use?
Thank you

Do you use them for work ? Your machine are
1. HP NOTEBOOK - 14-CK0017LA with following specs:
- Intel® Celeron® N4000 (base frequency of 1.1 GHz, burst frequency up to 2.6 GHz, 4 MB cache and 2 cores
- Memory 4 GB of SDRAM DDR4-2400 (1 x 4 GB) Storage
- SATA 500 GB, 5400 rpm
2. HP NOTEBOOK - 14-BS027LA with following specs:
- Intel® Celeron® N3060 (base frequency of 1.6 GHz, burst frequency up to 2.48 GHz, 4 MB cache and 2 cores
- Memory 4 GB of SDRAM DDR3L-1600 (1 x 4 GB) Storage
- SATA 500 GB, 5400 rpm
They are both slow, very slow by their hardware. Upgrading RAM and HDD may improve a bit because both has very slow CPU's/Processors.
1. RAM: both machines only have 1 slot of RAM. You can replace 4GB with 8GB (max)
2. SSD: You can replace 500GB HDD with 500GB SSD or more on each machine using
https://www.crucial.com/products/ssd/crucial-mx500-ssd
https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/860evo/
Or similar from reputable vendors.
Regards.
