Hi @Vaibhav0008,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I’m sorry you’re going through this; I understand the concern and don’t worry I’ll help you with this.

To better understand what’s happening, could you clarify a few things for me?

  • What HP laptop model are you using? (For example: HP Pavilion, Envy, Spectre, etc.)
  • Did anything happen before this started? (A drop, update, power outage, overheating, etc.)
  • Does the laptop make any sound when you turn it on? (Fan spinning, beeps, etc.)
  • Are you using the original charger?

Here are some safe troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

This clears any temporary hardware glitches.

  • Turn the laptop off completely.
  • Disconnect charger and remove any USB devices.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15–20 seconds.
  • Plug the charger back in and try turning it on.

2. Check for display issues

It might be powering on but failing to display anything.

  • Turn the laptop on and shine a flashlight toward the screen.
    • If you see a faint image, it might be a backlight issue.
  • If you have an HDMI cable, try connecting it to an external monitor or TV.
    • Let me know if anything shows up externally.

3. Try a BIOS reset

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press and hold Windows key + B, then press the Power button.
  • Keep holding Windows + B for 5–10 seconds.
Sometimes this resets the BIOS and gets the laptop to start.

4. Check the charger connection

A weak or failing charger can cause hardware error codes.

  • Make sure the charger light (if your model has one) turns on when plugged in.
  • Try a different wall outlet.

5. Note the blink pattern again

HP blink codes are very specific.
If the pattern is 3 long blinks and 2 short, that usually indicates a memory (RAM) or motherboard issue  but let’s rule out simpler fixes first.

If you can confirm the exact laptop model and whether any of the steps above changed the behaviour, I can guide you more precisely

I hope this helps.
