HP ENVY Notebook - 15t-q300 CT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hello,

My laptop broke and contacted with the HP repair service and they sent me the box.  So my question is, should I include my laptop charger? Because, the other day when I was on the phone with HP repair service, the agent said that I shouldn't include my laptop charger. But in the document that came with the box mentions that I should include it with the laptop.

Please advice.

Thank you.

I would base my decision on whether to include the charger on what type of problem you are having with the notebook.

For example,

  • If the disk drive is in need of replacement, it is unlikely that the issue is related to the charger -- keep your charger at home.

  • If the notebook does not boot and / or you have had issues with the battery or the notebook losing charge / power, then include the charger with the notebook.  Mark on the paper in clear, bold letters that you have included the charger and the cord.  I have not ever had HP lose a charger; the note is a "safe-guard" to help ensure you get back what you send in to the repair depot.

In other words, HP has lots of chargers for every kind of notebook.  Send the extra bits only if you believe there is a benefit in doing so.
