This is a user forum not HP Parts or Repair. If its not under warranty HP would charge to repalr and charge a lot. If its under warranty it is free. How did the short circuit happen? This will detemine if its covered by the warranty. Where are you located (country)?

After plugging in the charger, I just turned on the switch that's it, it got burnt( may be due to Voltage difference). I am living in Italy. And can you please help me out with the service centre in Rome. I have tried locating but didn't find one. & Yes my laptop has 6 months warranty left.
