I had purchased a Laptop from M/s Hypertech Systems, Kollam, Kerala on 09/03/2019.  I was using my laptop till the first week of November 2019. All of a sudden my laptop stopped working and not even able to switch on it. So last week, I contacted the dealer and since it is within the warranty period, they have intimated HP customer care to repair this laptop. After examining the laptop, the technician said motherboard failure has happened due to thermal event and hence it is out of warranty and I have to pay for the new motherboard and service. I am completely perplexed with his finding “thermal event” as the cause of the laptop’s failure. Moreover, since the item is within the warranty period, asking us to pay for the parts and repair is illogical.

I am a Physician by profession and does minimal work on my laptop. Therefore, I request you to take necessary steps to repair my laptop without any charges.
