HP Spectre x360-13t

Question to the Community: Frustrated with HP support and the damage done to my laptop.  Anyone have experience on what to do next - we are frustrated.  Thanks in advance  -   My HP laptop is only 7 months old and covered under warranty (loud fan noise would not stop). HP advised to send to their service center and provided a box and their packaging.  The laptop was in excellent shape from an exterior standpoint. On arrival, HP sent me an email  asking for $714 to repair damage to the shell of the computer, USB port, etc.  I believe the repair center is in California but we would receive daily calls and emails from HP representatives in Bangalore India who would kept asking the for the money without any discussion about the under warranty fan issue.  We finally demanded HP focus on the fan issue and to repair it as they are required under warranty.  HP says they replaced the fan and is now sending the laptop and refusing to pay for the damage.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information such as serial numbers and case details.

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
