Hi,
Since a few weeks, I am receiving the Checksum error. The laptop when not connected to an AC cord, turns off automatically at 61%. When turned on again, it is gives me a checksum error. The battery is still left at 61%. Furthermore, when I put the laptop to stand by, the next day I start the laptop and it gives me the checksum error. I have Googled the error and already tried the following:
1. Update BIOS driver. As I can see now, my system information displays: BIOS Version/Date Insyde F.57, 19/09/2022
SMBIOS Version 3.0.
2. Applied normal bios settings.
3. I have looked inside of my laptop if there is a CMOS battery that I can replace. I couldn't find it. I am assuming that there is no CMOS battery with this laptop.
I am kinda tempted to buy a new battery trying to fix the issue, but not sure if that would work. I bought this battery roughly a few months ago.
If anyone has a suggestion to fix the issue, please let me know.
Thanks!

Hello @Konrad8
Thanks for reporting.
Primary Battery: Replace
Design Capacity: 39 WHr
Full Charge Capacity: 22 WHr (55%) !
The battery already has a few charging cycles, but it has lost a lot of capacity overall, so it needs to be replaced.
I can help you to find the right replacement battery. In which country do you live ? It is about an order possibility. |
Kind regards

Thank you so much for your help! I was getting frustrated with not knowing what was going on, this might be a fix then. I am from the Netherlands. I bought the battery within the last 12 months from a web shop, so I should be able to apply for the warranty.
