Hello,
Yesterday I suddenly noticed (I am quite sure I would have noticed if it had been there earlier, it just struck me when I saw it) that the case of the laptop is warped/bent on top, near the hinge. I checked the internet for possible causes and everything seemed to say "bloated battery" - which also made sense, as the laptop is now 6 years old (though running perfectly).
...however, I just opened the case, and the battery looks perfectly flat and fine to me. Also, the battery is located under the lower half of the keyboard (spacebar area), while the laptop is warped on the top, basically above the keyboard. I cannot see any reason, outside or inside, why this happened and all the components look fine, and the laptop has been working well since. That it's probably not the battery is good news, but also I am now even more puzzled and wonder if this is worrying.
I can provide pictures if needed (I have made a whole bunch also after opening the case), but basically: it's warped, but on the opposite side of where the battery is. I see absolutely no reason what caused this, and there are no "symptoms" of anything being wrong (so far). There was no physical damage done to it, and definitely not recently.
Any ideas? Is this in any way worrying, or likely just a mechanical issue? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hello
I have a 1 week old HP 14s-fq1013na and my keyboard is warped over the middle of the keyboard and I cant get any answers as to why this is. I am pretty sure it wasn't like that when I unpacked it. I am frustrated because I cant understand what's happening or if its serious.
