3.08 Mhz
32 GB Memory
32 GB Optane Memory
512 GB NVME SSD Intel with Optane
512 GB Samsung SSD on SATA
It is very solid and crisp, but it is alive and not fragile. And with the Optane integration it will get better over time especially now as the main device is on the same board as the drive like a turbo charger
Bone stock as we say in Automobiles or as close as it gets and I am happy, just boot and scoot I will be putting in next phase of NVME with the Addlink S70 1 TB up first followed by Samsung 980
All the best,
Steve

I need a favor...
My System was built without a DVD/CD player but as they say in the trades it is wired for it. Slimline SATA from all research and when a drive is connected it will spin up but never be recognized. Probably a feature code or something deep beneath the BIOS although it repeatedly asks me at that level what to do with the Optical in relation to booting. Spending as much time as I can on Intel board but the Optane experiment was a success! The acceleration on the Samsung 500 is amazing but Optane eludes me and in the GUI it shows yet again an open port on SATA...
Have adapters to take it as part of the overall system so 1 NVME and 2X2.5" drives in my hierarchical storage model. The Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB is on the way (NVME) and I already have an Addlink 1 TB NVME PCIe 3X4 that will most likely stay in the desktop and the 980 will run the Laptop. So I am really trying to get what was to run the DVD player to wake up and let me plug something useful in there, any help you can provide is much appreciated.
In closing I will say it is indeed an arduous task to track down all of the bits and get better support from the Chipmaker than the Manufacturer is a sad state of affairs. Yet I see a big push going on in Optane storage because it impacts all around it and it learns. In fact I will keep mine and run it off a PCI card and see what mischief I can get into.
All the best...
Bulldog over and out...

Hi:
The DVD drive should have been plug and play.
You do need DVD playing software as W10 does not come with it.
If the drive is not showing up in 'This PC', there are some things you can try to fix the problem.
CD/DVD Drive Missing In Windows 10/8/7 FIX - YouTube
If none of that helps unfortunately, I don't have any other ideas for you to try.
Enjoy your beast of a notebook!

Time to choose a team and close up the patient....
Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB is running it all now solo, next blocks are 1 TB Samsung QVO 2.5" followed by most likely another 1 TB in an adapter tray giving me 3 TB internal disk, 32 GB RAM and no rotational devices internal. May find an adapter and put the Optane H10 in the third spot.....
Fast and solid and no heating problems on the NVME device
Cheers
Steve

OK current config is solid and fast, Samsung storage across the board
Here is the Crystal Disk report on the latest addition a 2TB Samsung QVO which is in a raid config with disk 2 a Samsung 870 QVO 1TB and plugged into what had been on most models a DVD device...

Yeah she is very fast
As I am now running Win 10 Pro it's limit on memory is far larger that Win 10 standard, is there a command I can run to give me that number?
Thanks
Cheers
