My laptop ran out of battery and I plugged in my charger after couple hours. Now the battery won't charge past 6% and the laptop turns off immediately if I unplug the charger. I ran some test using hp tools. One of the tests said I have failed the charging port test, the other one only says to replace my battery.
From what I understand, the battery seems to be in a good shape, and the charging port doesn't seem to be the problem. I've tried restarting the laptop, reinstalling Microsoft ACPI, none of them worked. I haven't tried to remove my battery yet though.
Unfortunately, I couldn't change the language setting for the test result but I'll still include a screenshot of it.

The rejected image shows a fully charged battery.
I could not read the Chinese characters, but the numbers worked for me.
Unfortunately, HP took away the ability we had to easily translate the diagnostic error codes.
If your laptop is still in warranty, contact HP to request warranty service.

If out of the warranty coverage period, I suggest replacing the battery.
I suggest that because what you have reported is contrary to what the image shows.
