Laptop won't turn on, charging led blinks white 3 times

The battery ran dead, plugged in the charger and it won't turn on when in the mains or charge. When you push the power button to turn it on, a white light blinks 3 times from the charging unit. Please help! Thanks

This could be an issue with the adapter,

I suggest you try with a different charger and different wall outlet.

If the issue persists, I would personally suggest you contact our HP Support for one on one interaction. 

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp

Step 2. Sign in / sign in as a guest

Step 3. Enter the product number or select to auto detect

Step 4. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 5. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.

Thanks for the reply! My girlfriend has access to another hp charger so she will get that for me and try it out! If it doesn't work I'll go through the steps you suggested.
