My laptop HP ENVY13-aq1013dx is having trouble powering on. I accidentally spilled water on the keyboard (this was two days back) and left it to dry and now won’t power on. Since the battery is in built, I couldn’t remove the same while I left to dry. Any advise on how to work around this would be helpful.

If the causal factor was the water there may be internal damage requiring inspection. There is no workaround for this.
Water is an electrical/electronics device's worst enemy.
Hopefully there isn't too much component damage.
Does the power/charge LED light up when you plug in a power adapter?

What color was the power/charge LED when it lit up?
I do not recommend plugging it in.
The problem is that when water is spilled on a laptop, it really does need an internal inspection by someone with an experienced eye for electronic components.
It should not be plugged in unless it is in an extreme low humidity place, such as a desert region, because moisture can cause shorting to ground of components.
It would be detrimental to the service life of your notebook.

White is fully charged state. Amber is charging state.
It is good to hear that you have done that.
You are quite welcome.
