I am running some old machinery that uses both a parallel and serial port connection.  Our last laptop with a parallel and serial port died.  We've tried parallel-to-USB and serial-to-USB adapters, they don't work.

Can anyone tell me the last HP laptop to have an on-board parallel & serial port?  Note, must be on-board, not a docking station option.  It would be awesome if we could find a Windows 7 or newer and even more if 64-bit laptop.

Thanks,

Joe

legacy parallel and serial ports disapperared from laptops in the Pentium-M era. I looked up the specs of all the HP notebooks I could think of in the day and none had parallel and serial. IBM kept them longer than most and the last IBM Thinkpad to have them I believe was the Thinkpad T30. Some slightly newer HP Probook 650 models has an optional serial (not parallel) port.
