Hello I am from Argentina, I need to update the bios of my Hp Compac Presario V2000, to the latest update available.
My operating system is Windows Xp, Amd Sempron 3000+ Processor, 1,250 Gb ram 400mhz, 80gb hdd ide, mother quanta 3097.
p / n: EW998LA # ABM
V2617LA
I would also like to know how I can increase the performance of the pc? If I can put another more powerful processor that is not sempron and what could it be? and increase memory, what is your maximum ?, Increase Video memory?
What is the best processor of the sempron line for my pc? I ask this last question thinking that I am from Argentina and here there are not many options, in case I do not find the other processor line that you recommend.
I would also like to know if it is normal for me to work at temperatures of 60º - 70º? is it ok or is it too high?
Thank you!.

Hi:
Here are the links to the last BIOS update HP released for your notebook.
You need to use Internet explorer to open the links.
Info: F.52

Exe:

Unfortunately, I cannot find any information regarding processor or memory upgrades since HP retired support for that model series, and I wouldn't know if those temperatures are normal or not.
The only v2600 manual I could find shows Intel processors.

Your notebook probably only supports 2 x 1 GB of memory as well.
