The left hinge of the laptop is broken, and the  left corner (where the power input is) is cracked and bulging.

The laptop was not dropped nor has it fallen. When I open and close the laptop the hinge is shifting and then separating lower case from the upper case. I am not able to close and open the laptop properly. The warranty is expired on this laptop since 6 monyths. Please help.

I have the same problem, but is worse on the right side. The base seems to separate from the top as the screen is moved backwards. This is the second time this has happened with this laptop
