Hello,

 

I am looking to replace the wireless modem (631956-005) currently in my HP Folio 13-2000?  I researched a few threads but not getting a complete answer.  Some say the Intel 7260 802.11ac - 7260HMW will work.  Has anyone attempted this upgrade?  I would like a dual band option... the 2.4Ghz band is okay, but I have a dual band modem and would like to take advantage of the larger bandwidth options.  Looking for any insight and feedback.  Thanks!

Hi,

It looks like this series laptops are equipped with a Sandy Bridge chipset. If so I'm afraid that there is only one compatible wireless card and that is currently used.
