Hi, I have a fairly old dv6 notebook that I haven't used in a while because I thought the hard drive was having issues, checked everything a few days ago and it turns out the cable that connects the hard drive to the mobo (sata power+data) has a few (can't remember the colors, but it's two or three) small cables that got cut on the end that connects to the motherboard (a property socket afaik). Issue is I can't solder it back because the cables go into the plastic shell where they seem to be cut and I don't know where to get a replacement. I'm from Argentina and with imports being an issue, best I can find locally are used parts that either three times the price of the ones I can find online and / or used. Add that on top of the fact that I'm not entirely sure if it's the same cable since they don't provide a serial number and I just have to go by looks.
The stamp on the cable reads:
CASA 15" HDD
HPMH-2995050G00001
FOXCONN 110530
And I'll post one of the best photos I could get to showcase the issue:
I think it's the same cable as the user in this post:
Now if I could get the contact of some store that sells replacements, preferably in Argentina, but I'm willing to pay for taxes/shipping.
Just PLEASE don't send me the Argentina HP phone numbers because I've tried them already and they DO NOT like to answer, or maybe they closed down, idk.
Thanks
