Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi all,

Trying to upgrade the wife's notebook from 1GB to 2GB RAM but struggling to find the correct version to order.

Bought a 2GB 200pin 800MHz DDR2 but slot doesnt line up so clearly wrong part.

Online research proving a minefield so hoping you can help.

Thanks

@Evasivo

You bought the wrong kind of memory.  Your PC needs 133 MHz DDR3, not DDR2.

Thank you for the quick response. I've searched online and all "133 MHz DDR3" seem to be 4GB, can you definitely buy 1 x 2GB 133MHz DDR3?

Hi, @Evasivo

You can get a used 2 GB DDR3-1333 MHz memory module at the link below...

Samsung M471B5673FH0-CH9 2GB 2Rx8 1.5V 204-Pin SODIMM PC3-10600S-09-10-F2 1333MHz DDR3 Laptop/Notebo...

Thank you, really appreciate that...as a noob I need direct directions 😆

You're very welcome.

2 GB DDR3 memory is getting very hard to find.

That particular memory chip should work just fine for you.

I wanted to make sure it was dual ranked memory, and had the 8 little black memory chips on the circuit board, not 4.
