Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Looking to upgrade the 1TB HDD to a SSD. From what I have found on the specs, seems to only have one HDD slot....bummer. Issue I am having is 1) Does it only have the 1 HDD slot and 2) Having problems getting the bottom cover off. Was able to get it loosened on 3 sides, having issues with front part, cannot get the plastic piece loose.  And yes, I did remove all the screws on the bottom! :generic: Thanks!

Start on p. 24.

Service Manual

It has a slot for a regular sized 2.5 inch disk HDD or SSD and then there also may or may not be an M.2 SATA slot to the left of the battery as shown on p. 26 of the Manual.

Post back and we can walk you through your options but please accept as solution if this is the answer you needed.

If I have the correct maintenance manual, you should also have a M2 Sata-3 card slot for the SSD:

The manual should also help you in the disassembly.

Thanks for the response. Looks like there will be an M.2 based on the model number and what shows in the manual. Very glad for that. Having issues getting the bottom cover off. As stated, get the screws out and can get 3 sides away from the main laptop frame, but the front stays connected and cannot pull off without risking breaking the cover. Anything I need to do to get this off? Thanks!

I only have the info that is on p. 25 of the manual. Remove all 11 screws and lift from the rear and push forward at the same time.

I would still try to carefully look if there are plastic notches that need a bit negotiating instead of force.
