You mean in the System Protection tab of System Properties, HP_Tools[E:] is not listed? That probably means that instead of the problem being related to System Restore, it might be some personal files that were accidentally copied to that drive.

Try the instructions starting from step #5 -- view the hidden files and folders on the E: drive, and then move or delete the files that don't belong there. The "Caution" message will tell you what not to delete.

I hope that helps!

I don't have a Notebook. I have a laptop. Windows 7 Home Prem OA.

Will your suggestions work on my product, from #5 on the instructions?

I followed the steps give by HP to clean the HP E: Drive of unnecessary files.  I didn't see any foreign files except for one small file image.  Currently my HP E: Drive has 1.08 GB of free space available of the 3.95 GB total.  The free space has basically stayed the same.  Am I missing something?

The HP solution does not work for my laptop because it is older and has apparently accumulated a lot of HP tool files.  From what I can see in the HP E: Drive it looks like they are all HP files which have filled up the Drive.  I need to know what HP files I can delete.
