HP ENVY X360 M6-W103DX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

Currently I am using 1TB HDD @5400 rpm. Can I add 500GB CRUCIAL P1 M.2 2280 3x4 NVME to my HP envy x360 M6- w103dx M.2 slot laptop with i5 6200U processor and Intel HD 520?

I do want to replace my HDD  with SATA III SSD.

IF not please suggest an alternate solution.

Regards

You're very welcome.

The PC will always try to boot from the 2.5" hard drive with a SSD installed in the M.2 slot.

You would need to remove the OS from the 2.5" drive, so the PC finds the M.2 SSD to boot from.

Below is the link to the Crucial memory/SSD report for your model notebook.

Compatible M.2 SSD's are listed all the way down at the bottom of the page.

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Chapter 1 lists the supported drive types.  Your model only supports SATA M.2 SSD's, not NVMe, according to the manual.
