Does the HP Notebook 15-bs095ms support a B+M M.2 SSD or an M.2 NVMe SSD in the internal M.2 slot on the motherboard?
Also, what is the maximum M.2 SSD size that can be added while I have a 2TB HDD installed as well?

Your laptop ONLY supports SATA type M.2 SSDs. See p. 3 of the Manual here:
An M.2 slot is an M.2 slot. Either a B + M or an M key only SSD will slide into the slot but it's a matter of how the motherboard is made that determines what will work. Most SATA M.2s are B + M keyed and however configured you can get a SATA M.2 and it will work. Capacity is not an issue you can install whatever you can find to buy in the market. I believe I have seen up to 4 TB SATA M.2 SSDs and 2 TBs are common. My preferred model is the Samsung 860 Evo although WD and Adata and several others make good ones, too. Unlike NVME M.2s which vary a bit in performance, the SATA M.2s all seem to perform close to the same. 550 mbps read speed give or take.
