My laptop doesn't see the factory installed M.2 HDD. It is manufactured by HP, the SSD is 180Gb.

I have some general understanding of how computers work, and I opened up the laptop. I removed the SSD and tried replacing it with another SSD. The BIOS didn't detect it as well. What do you think?
P.S. The laptop is working with a 2.5 HDD, though. I was able to install Windows on it. Do I need some UEFI drivers for the M.2 to work? The BIOS is upgraded.

No such thing as UEFI drivers. Which exact M.2 SSD are you installing? Is it blank or previously used? Try taking out the 2.5 inch HDD and see if the BIOS sees the M.2. Try switching system to legacy boot with just the M.2 installed.

I have 2 SSDs,
One is HP Model: SSDSCKJF180A5H HP P/N: 811508-001
Another one is Corsair Force Series MP510 NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 SSD
The first SSD was previously used, but when I got the laptop it was not seen by the BIOS.
Another one has Windows 10 installed on it.
When I run system diagnostics, it doesn't see any hard drive. When the Windows setup starts, it says there's only Drive 0 with 0 Mb of Unallocated space on it.
The HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI tool doesn't see the SSD, it says "No hard drives installed".

Here is my wild stab at things. The HP SSD is bad and the new 3 x 4 NVME SSD is incompatible on that old of a system. PCIe/NVME in general is supported but that particular device may not be. Having said that, I have a Zbook 15 G3 which is roughly the same vintage and have a Toshiba 3 x 4 NVME in it so really a wild stab.
