Does my HP DA1091ne has M.2 ssd slot?

@Nayan1121,

Condensing, I found it next to impossible to find information through HP, so I had to rely on secondary sources.  According to this site: HP 15 Laptop 15-da1091ns / - Drive Solutions, your HP 15-DA1091ne IS fitted with an M.2 Slot supporting SATA and PCIe NVMe SSDs. The Crucial upgrade site appears to support that -looking at a closely related HP 15-da109xxx laptop: Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | hp - compaq | hp 15 series | HP 15-da1090ne | Crucial.com.

Fortuitously, I found an HP-related link where the same question was posted on the Spanish HP Forum site (translated as per Google Translate), and I quote (emphasis added):

"Hello, I want to add an SSD M.2 to an HP Notebook 15-DA1091NS that brings a 1TB HDD standard. It has a free port m.2 but I do not find documentation or information of the plate anywhere to know if it admits an SSD M.2 PCIE NVME or SSD M.2 SATA or both as well as the allowable capacity. Please, if you can clarify it, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Greetings."

@resistencia responded to this query, and said, quote (translated): "The equipment supports M.2 SATA-3 and M.2 NVME, can set sizes of 1 TB or more if you want."

So, there you go: yes, there is an M.2 slot.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

@Nayan1121,

My friend, our challenge -as @Prométhée implied, is that there are a lot of international versions of your particular notebook and the challenge to find HP documentation for each specific notebook. So, I cannot say for certain if the version for your country ("ne") was equipped with a preinstalled M.2 slot or not.

Truth be told, the best solution is for you to open your notebook and find out.

You can follow the instructions from the Maintenance and Service Guide pages 33 to 40 and 47 and 49 here: HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide. If there is no M.2 slot installed, you could install it yourself as shown by the parts listed on page 48. Once installed, you can use an M.2 NVMe SSD or an M.2 SATA SSD.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,
