You should be fine then.
If you look at the service manual, HP doesn't even mention that processor in the list in chapter 1.
Maintenance and Service Guide HP 245 G7 Notebook PC
I have noticed for some reason, HP is putting newer hardware in the 240, 245, 250 and 255 G7 model series and not updating the manuals.
There are some 250 G7's with Intel 10 gen core processors for example and as you can see with your notebook no mention of Ryzen 3xxx processors.
I am 99% sure a NVMe SSD will work in your notebook. They worked in the notebooks with the Ryzen 2xxx processors.

I still think you will be fine...

Anytime.
Now I have a question for you...
Is your notebook one of those that has over 2 GB of non-usable memory out of 8 GB?
I see that is often the case in notebooks with the Ryzen 3xxx processors.
If so, you may want to add another 8 GB of memory into the empty slot.
Here is a document from HP that explains the memory shortage if your notebook has that issue...
HP released this document a while back, which explains the memory shortage...

This seems to only apply to models with AMD Ryzen 3xxx processors.
