HP Notebook - 15-f162dx (ENERGY STAR)

Does anyone know if my HP 15-f162dx Notebook has an M.2 slot to add a WD blue SN580 SSD? I've managed to find videos to learn where it should be I just can't find the specs for my specific lap top. The manuals aren't accessible here because it is older I guess. I don't want to open it to look if I don't have to and I've not ever done it so I might not recognize it.  Thanks.

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook, which can be found on your notebook's user guides page.

Your notebook does not have any M.2 slots for SSD support.

Your only option to upgrade to a M.2 SSD would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

Thank you for help. I had found the product  support page but the user guide comes up as 'oops this page doesn't exist'. I  Anyway, I will just hold on to this and see if it fits the next lap top if I don't get a 2.5" SATA SSD. Someone gave it to me new so I thought I'd try! bummer!

You're very welcome.

I have zipped up and attached the service manual below for you.

Most new notebooks come with M.2 NVMe SSDs nowadays.

Very few will come with mechanical hard drives anymore, and those that do, probably will not support a NVMe SSD as those would be budget models with Intel Celeron processors.
