I am here to ask question about the compatibility of m2 ssd on my notebook. It has an m2 slot but i am wondering what type of m2 ssd I should buy. Can any one suggest please should i buy nvme ssd or ngff. Is pcie nvme 512gb compatible with my device?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA hard drive installed on the PC.
To get the answer to this question, this computer support for SSD + HDD (not supported on Pentium/Celeron) see the below table on storage.
