MAX Memory Expansion

I want to upgrade to a MAXIMUM memory supported. Presently I have (1) memory module 8GB 1Rx16 PC4-3200AA. One module slot is empty. Can I replace the existing module with (2) 16GB 1Rx16 PC4-3200AA modules, giving me a total 32 GB memory? I do not want to buy them unless I know it will work. 

What is the MAXIMUM memory that can be supported. I could not find this info in ANY of the HP manual

Hi:

You can do this to find out exactly how much memory your notebook can take...

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator. This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacity and hit enter. There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your notebook's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
