I'm wanting to upgrade the RAM as I need more than 8gb total RAM, however HP and some websites are saying 16gb total RAM can be installed but windows cmd and cricial say I can have 32gb total RAM. but im not sure what frequency ram I can install. If anyone knows the max RAM and Frequency I can install that would be much apricated.

Hi:

The Crucial memory report indicates a max of 2 x 16 GB of memory.

But since the service manual indicates the max is 2 x 8 GB, I am not sure what to tell you.

In theory, your notebook's processor and chipset should support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

You would want DDR4-2400 memory because it is only going to run at 2133 MHz anyway because that is the fastest speed your notebook's processor can run the memory at.

From its specs, it has 8 GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM (2 x 4 GB) now (both slots are occupied). You can ugrage to

   (a) 16GB using the following compatible RAM (will only run @ 2133MHz)

   (b) 32GB using the following compatible RAM (will only run @ 2133MHz)
