Hi,
Model: 6MP37ES#ABU Core i7-8565U 8GB 256GB SSD 15.6IN FHD
We bought this notebook because we thought it had a maximum of 32Gb as indicated on this page:
https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c06193977#AbT6
However we're now finding conflicting documentation that states 16Gb is the max:
http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/getpdf.aspx/4AA7-3902EEAP.pdf
The i7 has a max of 32Gb, but I don't know if the notebooks architecture will support this.
Does anyone have a definitive answer so we don't end up buying the wrong RAM?
As a bonus question if it does support 16Gb DDR4-2400 SODIMM's, any idea if 1x16gb and 1x8gb would be an issue?
Thanks

Hi,
Your notebook will support max 32GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM even if service manual mentions 8GB
you can purchase from your preferred brand and yes 16Gb+8GB will work.
On page 36 of the manual you can see the steps to install the RAM

Hope it helps,
