Pavilion DV7-6001ST
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everybody,

I'm having a Pavilion DV7-6001ST (LC750EA), with 8 GB RAM (2*4GB) installed. Is it possible to upgrade the RAM to 16 GB? If so, which RAM-Modules do I need then?

Does the BIOS support 8GB Modules? The notebook has two slots, so my hope is, if I replace the built in 2x4GB with 2x8GB, I'll have 16 GB of RAM.

If you need more details, I can provide you.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Metehan

Hi:

From the little information I can find on your model, it comes with an Intel 2nd gen core processor, correct?

If so, you can install 2 x 8 GB of memory for a total of 16 GB.

See chapter 1, page 6 of the service manual for the Intel platforms memory upgrade info.

Sorry for interrupting again, but my final question is, which RAM specifications should I look in to buy a compatible RAM with my mainboard and CPU?

On the 4GB RAM it is written "4GB 2Rx8 PC3-10600S-9-10-F2" also "REPLACE WITH HP SPARE - 621569-001 - CX1150".

What is the RAM specifications should I look when I am buying two 8GB Compatible RAM?

Thank you very much again
