The service manual (on page 2) states that your i3 7020U processor-based model supports 16 GB (2x8 GB) DDR4-2133 memory.
DDR4-2133 memory may be hard to find. You can install DDR4-2400 or 2666. Either frequency will downclock to 2133.
Examples of RAM you need:
Crucial RAM 8GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 Laptop Memory CT8G4SFRA266 at Amazon.com

Hi!
Most (if not all) Kaby lake HP laptops will support 16GB modules -no matter what official docs say. This was analysed in this discussion almost 10 years ago by Huffer EXPERT Level 18: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Can-HP-ENVY-15-as110TU-upgrade....
There is no guarantee, but I have yet to see a system that doesn't confirm this theory. All my 7th gen Intel systems (U or HQ) run fine with 32GBs DDR4. The specs fo the 7020U also give max RAM as 32GB. Drivesolutions page for the 14s-cf0126tu system gives max RAM as 16GB, but at the bottom of the page Kingston and Crucial 2Rx8 16GB modules are recommended as compatible. I'm positive the right kind of modules can take this system up to 32GBs of RAM.
On a personal note, after reading posts on various forums, I decided to try 32GB modules on some of my 7th gen systems, and surprisingly some worked -others didn't. CompuRam suggests that the 14s-cf0xxx systems will also be OK with 32GB DDR4 RAM modules. Although it's possible, this is quite a gamble.
