HP Pavillon DV6723el
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Good morning to everyone,

I have a DV6735el, PN: KN782EA#ABZ and I would like to upgrade to 4GB RAM (ok) and a drvie bigger than the default 250GB. Does this model support:1 o 2 TB?

I suppose it can use interface Sata III (without spped improvement).

It requires drive with hight 10 mm or can I use also 15mm?

Thank You

Any 2.5 inch wide and 9.5 mm thick SATA laptop hard drive will work and they do make 1 and 2 TB models so those are fine. It can be SATA III but will only work at a lower SATA speed on your laptop. Post back if you need any more help.

Now I  have to choose between HDD and SSD

I certainly would not spend the $300+ it costs for a 1 TB SSD on that laptop.

You are right; but if SSD, I could spend Euro 100 for 500GB, if HDD 106 Euros for 2TB.

So: faster access VS capacity

Even 100 Euros is a bit rich to invest in that laptop but the SSD can be reused. Me, I will take fast any day. Get the SSD.
