HP Laptop 15-dw1083wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I own this laptop and would like to upgrade the memory to 16GB, but I noticed in the description of the computer this:

RAM Memory — 4 GB

Maximum RAM Supported — 4 GB

So, does this mean that there's no way to upgrade the memory on this thing? It's running Windows 10 Home in S mode. But it is slow as 2020 and I'm looking for a cure.

It is a budget machine and has the Pentium Gold processor so only has a single memory slot. You cannot have 16 gigs but you could have 8. The single 4 gig DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM could be replaced with an 8 gig. Here is the Service Manual:

"How to" starts on p. 30-39.

Well, even 8 would be helpful. This is good news. Thanks!
