HP Laptop - 15-di0001tu
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I have 15 di0001tu, which has Intel 4417U processor & has RAM : MTA4ATF51264Hz-3G2J1(unsoldered) & has secondary bus lines as well as blank space for another 260 pin SODIMM Connector need to be soldered .

Now Issue is it working too slow, so please suggest me 8GB DDR4 2133MHz 260 Pin RAM sold by Kingstone or Crucial or any other vendor which will be easily compatible with System.

Either I will put it on existing slot against Micron RAM or will put it on blank buses with new soldered RAM Connector.

Hi:

Your notebook will only support 1 x 8 GB of memory according to the service manual.

HP 15 Laptop PC Maintenance and Service Guide

I don't believe that it is possible to just add a memory connector and expect the second slot to work.

You will have to remove the 4 GB memory chip and replace it with an 8 GB memory chip.

However, the Intel specs for your notebook's processor indicates that it can support up to 32 GB of memory.

Intel Pentium Gold Processor 4417U 2M Cache 2.30 GHz Product Specifications

You may want to experiment with installing a 16 GB memory chip in the one slot.

You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support.

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:

Crucial 8GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA266 | Crucial IN

If the report indicates you can install 32 GB of memory this would be a compatible 16 GB memory chip.

Crucial 16GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT16G4SFRA266 | Crucial IN

The DDR4-2666 memory is less expensive than the DDR4-2400 memory.

DDR4-2666 memory will work fine.  It will automatically bridge to 2133 MHz to match the fastest speed your notebook's processor can run the memory at.

Thanks alot Paul for the below, it means I am on the right path of 2666 MHz, I do as you suggested in CMD for motherboard capacity. It's true that 32 GB is acceptable.

But Meanwhile Thanks a lot again for your assistance.
