Hi

i tried to use memory card reader but it didn't worked. I tried with 3 different micro SD card (with adaptor to SD).

I downloaded drivers from HP (sp141011.exe - sp149258.exe). I run the sp149258.exe, which it supooses to autorun HPUP.exe, but nothing happens. I tried to manually run HPUP.exe, but it does nothing else but producing a log file (at the bottom you can see it).

I checked BIOS settings and it says "enabled".
I checked "Device manager" but i can't find it (there is a screenshot below).

 What is going on?

The Realtek  or Alcor Micro Card memory card reader will not show up as a device until you plug a SDHC into the memory card reader.

You will see it in the Disk drivers section of the Device manager.

I just verified that on my Spectre laptop.

I don't think this is how it works. I mean that you have to be able to see the memory card in devices manager even if there is not any card inserted.
Anyway, below its the 2 cards i am testing with. One of them is SDHC, but still card reader not working.

Unfortunately, you are making an incorrect assumption. That is not how it works.  It works the way I explained it in my previous reply.

Hi Erico,

don't stay at the assumption about how it works. Let's say you are right.

As i said in my previous answer, i am testing with 2 different cards. One of them is SDHC.

Still card reader is not working.

Have you tried the cards in a different PC to see if they are working?
