Microsoft Windows 11

Hey everyone,

I'm constantly receiving a message from my Windows that the memory integrity can't be turned on due to incompatible drivers. I looked up the drivers but couldn't find an update

I would like to fix this issue. Does someone has the same problem or has some advice?

Also, after updating to windows 11 last year, the hp support assistant shows that the bios firmware needs to be updated but whenever i press "agree", it just shows the status as cancelled. The current BIOS is F.06.

Hi @Ayu6 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the issue you're encountering with Memory Integrity and BIOS updates can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to address both problems:

1. Memory Integrity Issue

Memory Integrity (part of Core Isolation) helps protect your PC from attacks by isolating critical processes. If it can't be enabled due to incompatible drivers, follow these steps:

Identify Incompatible Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  • Expand the System Devices section and look for any drivers with a yellow warning icon.
  • You can also use tools like Windows Security > Device Security > Core Isolation Details to see which drivers are flagged as incompatible.

Update or Remove Drivers:

  • Visit the manufacturer's website for each device or driver flagged as incompatible and check for updated drivers.
  • If no updates are available, consider removing or uninstalling the driver temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Windows Update and check for updates. Sometimes, updates can include patches for driver compatibility.

Verify Integrity of System Files:

  • Open Command Prompt as an administrator.
  • Run sfc /scannow to check for and repair corrupted system files.

Clean Boot:

  • Perform a clean boot to see if a background application or service is causing the issue.
  • Search for "System Configuration" in the Start menu, go to the Services tab, and check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all. Restart your computer and try enabling Memory Integrity again.

2. BIOS Update Issue

To resolve the issue with updating the BIOS:

Download BIOS Update Manually:

  • Go to the HP Support website and search for your laptop model.
  • Download the latest BIOS update manually from the support page.

Update BIOS Using USB:

  • Save the BIOS update file to a USB drive.
  • Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup (usually by pressing Esc, F2, F10, or Del during startup).
  • Look for an option to update BIOS from the USB drive.

Check HP Support Assistant Settings:

  • Ensure that HP Support Assistant is up to date.
  • Sometimes, uninstalling and reinstalling HP Support Assistant can resolve issues.

I hope this helps.

I have the same message as well...problem?  I have an HP Envy Laptop, Model 17M-CE0013DX.

Would the directions given here be the same ones to follow for my HP Eny Laptop?

I have already, done a reinstall of Windows 11 with a clean install saving nothing on 08/18/2024.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thank you!

Lisa C.
