Hi guys.

So I decided that I will add an SSD to my laptop, specs are saying that the slot should be there. Opened the case, seems to be missing. I'm sort of new to computers, and would be thankful to know if it is possible to add nvme m.2 ssd drive here. The slot seems to be missing...

Hi Aleksander,

Yes, the second slot is missing. This happens in some cases when the notebook does not come with M2 SSD or in your case with only one SSD.

So, you will not be able to use the second slot. However, you can replace the M2 SSD which is in the machine at the moment with a higher capacity one. There is no limit to capacity.

Hope it helps,

David

You're welcome.

You will not be able to add a second M2 drive to the machine. However, as I said above you could insert a 3TB drive in the slot available.

Take care,

David

Thanks.

Could I maybe install an additional SATA III in the HDD bay instead ? Would like to keep the current nvme ssd as it is. Many thanks.

Yes. You can install a SATA3 SSD of your preferred brand and capacity.

Hope it helps,

David
