Help
The first problem that i have is there is an unknown device in the device manager. I have looked at the fourms about the
unknown device with fault code ACPI\HPQ6007,
but when i follow the link to the driver i cannot find it,
The other driver problem that i have is the USB controller driver is missing, but i am unable to find it on the HP web site for my laptop.
Many thanks for any help with this problem.

32 bit Windows 7? You realize you have disabled over half the memory in the laptop?
HPQ6007 is 3D drive guard but not sure there is a 32 bit version:
The USB 3.0 driver is in this chipset driver from AMD:

Thanks for your help with the problem all working now.
The AMD driver worked for the USB 3.0 ports.
But the strange thing was the CD rom then showed there was a problem, the driver details said it was the correct driver for the item. But the drive did not work, i unstalled the drive and then rebooted that fixed the problem.
The driver for the unknown item worked first time, so it looks as the 64bit driver is ok for 32bit use.
