How much RAM does this model support in each slot?

Hi:

Notebooks with the AMD Dual-Core A6-9220 APU have one memory slot, and the max memory the slot can take is an 8 GB memory bar.

Below is the link to the service manual. Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.

So, you would have to remove the 4 GB memory bar and replace it with an 8 GB memory bar.

Here is a discussion where another forum member was sure the 15-bw dual core notebook had two memory slots, and then found out I was right.

I recommend you install a compatible 8 GB DDR4-2400 memory bar from Crucial.

If you have not done so already, I recommend that you replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing 2.5" solid state drive (SSD).
