@Lemieh, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the monitor issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Identify the Damage: Carefully examine the monitor to assess the extent of the damage. Check if the hinge is broken or if other parts like the bezel, stand, or casing are affected.

Gather Tools: Prepare tools like screwdrivers, ESD protection gloves, and perhaps a cleaning cloth for safe handling.

Disassemble the Monitor: Begin by removing the stand and any visible screws. You may need to open the back panel according to procedures outlined for your specific monitor model. Pay attention to parts like the side OSD button and power button during disassembly.

Replace Damaged Parts: If the hinge or other structural components are damaged, you will need replacement parts. These could include:

  • Hinge Replacement: Ensure you select the correct hinge designed for your specific model. These may be listed under "ASSY FRONT BEZEL" or "HINGE CAP" in illustrated parts catalogs.
  • Stand Replacement: If the stand is damaged, you can replace it, often listed as "ASSY, STAND".
  • Other structural components such as screws or the chassis assembly may also need attention.

Reassembly: Follow the reverse order of disassembly to put back the parts securely. Make sure all connections are tight and test the monitor for stability.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
