Hi @vishnusainEH,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Pavilion Gaming 15 (Ryzen 5 series) laptop is showing power blinking and possibly a motherboard issue. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this before confirming if replacement is required.

Perform a Hard Reset

Disconnect the power adapter and remove any external devices (USB, mouse, etc.).

Press and hold the Power button for 15–20 seconds to discharge any residual power.

Reconnect the charger and try turning on the laptop again.

Check Power Light Patterns

Observe the power LED or caps lock light blinking pattern.

For example, 3 long and 2 short blinks may indicate a memory issue, and continuous blinking could suggest a motherboard or battery fault.

Note the exact pattern; it helps identify which hardware component is at fault.

Verify Power Adapter and Battery

Connect your charger and ensure the charging light turns on.

Try using another compatible HP charger to rule out a faulty adapter.

If the laptop powers on only with the charger, the issue might be with the battery, not the motherboard.

Reseat Memory (if possible)

If you’re comfortable doing so, remove the back cover and reseat the RAM stick—take it out, clean the contacts gently, and reinsert it firmly.

A loose or damaged RAM module can cause the laptop to blink and not start.

BIOS Recovery

Press Windows + B and hold it while pressing the Power button once.

Keep holding Windows + B for about 10–15 seconds to trigger BIOS recovery if the system firmware is corrupted.

I hope this helps.
