Motherboard failure- just outside warranty

I was just wondering if any others have experienced motherboard failure this early on?

bought a laptop from Currys thinking this will last a while - a year and 1 month later motherboard goes and I’m left with the bill to replace. Surely it’s not fit for purpose as it’s only used for sending emails and work?

this is more of a moan than anything helpful just wondered if others have had similar problems with this model
