Hi @Moto11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that the right button on your mouse is clicking automatically, it usually indicates a hardware issue or a settings problem.  I would request you to please follow the below steps to resolve the issue.

Hardware Check

  • Clean the mouse: Dust or debris under the button can cause false clicks. Use compressed air or gently clean around the button.
  • Test on another computer: Plug the mouse into a different PC. If the issue persists, it’s likely hardware-related.
  • Try another mouse: If a different mouse works fine, your current one may need replacement.

Software & Driver Reset

Update drivers:

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  • Expand Mice and other pointing devices.
  • Right-click your mouse → Update driver.
  • Uninstall/reinstall driver:
  • Right-click the mouse in Device Manager → Uninstall device.
  • Disconnect and reconnect the mouse to reinstall automatically.

Windows Settings

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Mouse.
  • Check if primary button is set correctly (should be left).
  • Disable any extra mouse features (like “ClickLock”) that could interfere.

Take care and have an amazing day!
