HP Spectre
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the laptop under warranty and it is less than 2 months old.  The HP charger works via the Usb-C ports.  Neither one of the ports will charge the battery on this machine.  There is no red light and the charger is not recognised.

I have received from HP Support a new adapter.  I plugged the adapter into each of the USB-C ports and got no response.  Then I plugged in a USB Hub with a memory stick and it was able to read the memory stick.  I then removed the hub and re-plugged in the new adapter cable.  At that point it started charging and has accepted the cable.

I repeated the same thing with both of the ports and now they both can charge again.  I will continue to monitor it over the next few days but I am happy that I can charge my laptop.  And many thanks to HP Support.

I cannot see the accept solution button but I am happy it is resolved.
