Well we have a probably 10 year old laptop there. The first thing to figure out is whether the AC adapter is putting out electricity. Do any lights come on when you plug it in? Have you tried removing the battery and doing a hard reset?

We can likely find you a used 6710b on eBay and you could move your hard drive and other peripherals to it or otherwise cobble together a working machine from two units.

No, No lights will turn on when I plug it in it. I tried using another AC adapter lying around, but it didnt work. I suspect that it was because the new AC adapter's output voltage was lower than the old ones.

Relatively cheap to buy a replacement compatible AC adapter before we assume Father Time has just taken his toll on it.
