I have HP Envy 17-j008er with Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 BGN 2x2 HMC WiFi/Bluetooth Adapter and I want to replace it with dual-band + bluetooth adapter supporting 5Ghz WiFi. Is there anything newer and better now in 2020 than Intel-Wireless-AC-Network-Bluetooth-7260-HMWWB-R/dp/B00N7474CS/ which was adviced in the topic https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/My-HP-ENVY-wifi-not-supported-... ?

You can use Intel 7260 Wifi adapter.

Your machine is around 5 years old, the chance to upgrade wifi card is very slim to none
