My HP Laptop battery

Good evening, 

My HP notebook battery is no longer charging completely, and even half charged if I disconnect the AC adapter the computer power goes off.   As per the HP support assistant program recommendation,  the battery needs to be replaced.  I have, however, been using my notebook as a desktop PC.  I mean it is always on my desk and I guess I don't actually feel the need for a battery.   Would this notebook perform to its potential without the battery.  Would it be ok for me to simply remove the battery and power up the notebook with the AC Adapter instead?  
If the answer is YES, would you please point direct me to some kind of document or video showing how to remove the battery on this HP notebook?

Yes, you can do without a battery, but I would most strongly recommend hooking up your laptop to an UPS (uninterruptable power supply) so that whenever there is a power bump or outage, it won't affect -or cause damage to- or losing any unsaved files you're working on your laptop.

Lol.  Its like you read my mind.  First and foremost thank you so much for such prompt reply to my support inquiry.  Prompt and detailed that is.  I sincerely appreciate it.  Secondly yes, after seeing the ease in the clip you shared the link to with the instructions for changing the battery, I did change my mind.  It looks easy enough to change it myself.  Hence I think I might purchase a new one and replace it instead.

Actually I forgot to mention that my battery started failing after I updated my OS to Windows 11.  I cant help but wander if Windows 11 simply drains this batteries.

If I had to offer a guess, I would suspect that this was just a coincidence.

Batteries go bad after about 3~4 years, say about after 1,000 charge cycles. Some go belly up -I guess sometimes literally so, after only 2 years of normal use.
