My laptop has a loud static sound, I cannot play audio without it making this loud static sound.  Please help.

I understand that you are getting loud static sound.

 

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

 

Please perform the below steps and check.

 

1) Shutdown the computer.  

2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.  

3) Remove the Battery. ( not for Built-in Battery computer ) 

4) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.  

5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer if it's a (removable battery)

6) Try to turn on the computer and check, If the issue persists continue next step

 

 

Click Start->'Control Panel -> Sound -> Playback ->Select the entry that has Green Checj Over, click Properties. Click Advanced Tab above, unclick 'Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device',  click Apply/Ok.

 

1) Click Start=>Control Panel.
2. Double-Click on the ‘Sound’ Icon
3. Single-click the Speakers to highlight them on Play Tab
4. Click on Properties (bottom right corner)
5. Go to the Enhancements Tab and Click on it
6. Now click "Disable All Sound Effects"
7. Click OK/Apply.

 

Check if the issue has fixed.

 

If the issue still persists, please uninstall the audio drivers and reinstall and update the BIOS.
