Hi @Maitrii19,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing a battery level indicator issue with your HP Pavilion 15 Laptop running Windows 11.
Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Restart your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor software glitches. Try restarting your laptop and see if the battery level indicator starts working properly.
Update Drivers and Windows: Make sure that your laptop has all the latest updates installed, including both Windows updates and driver updates. Outdated drivers or system software could be causing the issue. Software and Drivers for HP Pavilion Laptop 15-eh2010nx
Check Power Settings: Windows power settings may sometimes interfere with battery reporting. Check your power settings to ensure they are configured correctly. You can access power settings by searching for "Power & sleep settings" in the Windows search bar.
Calibrate the Battery: Sometimes, recalibrating the battery can help reset the battery level indicator. Here's how you can do it:
- Charge your laptop to 100%.
- Disconnect the power adapter and let the battery drain completely until the laptop shuts down due to low battery.
- Leave the laptop off for a few hours.
- Plug in the power adapter and charge the laptop back to 100% without turning it on.
- This process helps the system recalibrate the battery level indicator.
Update BIOS: Check if there's a BIOS update available for your laptop model on HP's support website. Updating the BIOS can sometimes resolve hardware-related issues.
Battery Health Check: HP laptops often come with built-in battery health diagnostics. You can usually access this feature through the BIOS or HP's diagnostic software. Running a battery health check can help determine if there are any issues with the battery itself.
